Quantum theory and Reality.
==========.
" Physicists have traditionally expected that science should give
an account of reality as it would be in our absence. . . . . . . . .
It cannot be that reality depends on our existence,
. . . . .
Philosophers call this view realism.
. . . the real world . . . must exist independently of us. It follows that
the terms by which science describes reality cannot involve in any
essential way what we choose to measure or not measure."
/ The trouble with physics. page 6 - 7.
Lee Smolin. /
It cannot be that reality depends on our existence and or on our measurement
What was before the man began its measure?
What was in the beginning ?
Socratus.
Quantum mechanics, at least in the form it was first proposed,
did not fit easily with realism. This is because the theory
presupposed a division of nature into two parts.
On one side of the division is the system to be observed. . . . . . .
.. . on the other side . . . .

Quantum mechanics, at least in the form it was first proposed,
did not fit easily with realism. This is because the theory
presupposed a division of nature into two parts.
These two parts are Material and Vacuum worlds.
On one side of the Material system we can observe.
On the other side . . . . quantum theory tells us that the
Vacuum world exist even in our absence.
Can my opinion be right?
It is right because QED says when electron interacts with Vacuum all its parameters
became infinite. But this is forbidden by the law of energy conservation and transformation.
So, what is Vacuum?
It is new Physical Reality.
So, what is problem?
The problem is that we know the law of electron conservation,
but we don't know the law of electron transformation?

I'm re-posting this to correct the sequence of posts. Somehow my reply wound up in front of the OP.

Must not confuse a "reality" which is staged by our minds for our own consumption with "existence" which is there in our absence.
Existence evolves independent of us or our theories of what "it" might be. The world existed before there were people to talk about it.
Our personal reality, on the other hand, changes gradually, sometimes even suddenly, as we develop throughout our lives. Our reality is affected by culture, our social circumstances, and is influenced by friends and family.

Don't you ever worry about dripping faucets. They are bad to the environment. Or do we have to go to the Koran to get that understood?
You know what I mean.

That's sort of a "radical skepticism" attack
on a subject almost no real people apply to
real life anyhow.
That a field extends "to infinity" is an unfortunate
misinterpretation. It is quite insignificant
several electron radii away. It doesn't color
anyone's thinking outside of engineers, who
sometimes the very clear and real aspects.
The 'alternate quantum universes' are actually bogus,
and there is no such thing outside of science fiction.
The base of quantum theory is plain: at atomic
levels, things exist in resonant "quanta", like
the notes on a flute. That's it.
The sound waves around a flute go to infinity,
but that means nothing a mile away.
As to our absence or presence, that has nothing to
do with Quantum. Millions of pieces of discovery
by people who don't know much Physics show there
was life before humans. Even counting rings
on a desert bush.
