I believe that the Bible, all Bibles and Words have some wisdom but that none should be read literally or too seriously. They are myth only.
To believe that you should read a book, that begins with a talking animal, is interspersed with all kinds of impossible miracles and ends with a seven headed monster, as literally true, is silly.
To also believe that a book that has a God that thinks it is better to genocide a complete population instead of curing it, when He easily can, is just too immoral to believe.
Why would you buy into fantasy in your search for God?
I know you do not believe it is fantasy, but **** Sam, you have to know deep down that animals cannot talk, humans cannot walk on water and how can Jesus live before his mother was yet to be born?
Oops, mystery, oops unfathomable, oops go and hide because you cannot explain it.
Getting your own mother pregnant is so-----Yuk.
Rethink for God's sake.
Mankind deserves a true God not some chimera half breed..

So you find these things to be ridiculously unbelievable, but the concept of a god itself makes total sense to you?

Not the God as commonly described. The miracle working supper absentee God is pure myth.
His root and reality as I know it is more simple and less imaginary.
I believe, thanks to apotheosis, in a cosmic consciousness. No miracles, no hell, just It/Him as our next evolutionary step. I believe that the ancients found It/Him and for their own power and wealth, added a bunch of imaginary attributes till they created a wish list miracle working super God. No proof of course so don't ask.
That and I call myself a Deist for my philosophical side.

God is a cosmic consciousness.
Telepathy the key to contact.
It is our next evolutionary step.

So a cosmic consciousness is more believable than a talking snake? You think a reptile with evolved vocal chords is less likely than a human (prematurely?) evolved into anything resembling anything like a god?

I do not call the Godhead a God. More believable or not would have to be decided by each individual.
I believe from experience and do not have to chose between unknowns.
I found it with telepathy and have confirmation of that reality which makes the veracity of my experience with the Godhead quite strong. I am not prone to delusion.

Wow, way to kill an argument. I mean, if you've confirmed telepathy, how do I even argue against that? Except to say that I find it notable that you made sure to mention you're not prone to delusion.
