My friend Cado,
You gave me a thought. Maybe I took from live what I understood and morphed it to my philosophy of "a way of thinking"? As for the word emotion mine are hidden because I have been running from being human for my entiure life. I am seventy but feel five thousand and seventy. Again ethics are a individual choice. I am a recluse and a loner even at being married with a grandson. pljames
P.S. I worship knowledge. I feel knowledge came from God to Adam.
Sir,
Running from emotion, as you already know, is fruitless and will lead to mental illness. But the reasoning behind this running is a different story. Do you want to be more than human? and if so, is it immortality you want? I assume you have an old soul, and wisdom that does not express well through words. For to have such a mindset(to want to become more than human) for so long a time, shows much knowledge in you. On one hand this shows you KNOW we are more than physical beings, and on the other it proves you chose a worthy desire to have throughout life; so in the event that you do not reach liberation this time, you mat reach it in another life.
When living primarily through the ego, we naturaly adopt our personal experiences into our own way of thinking. These memories create our behavoir and personality. If you choose to call your way of thinking philosophy, so be it. I understand regardless what you are saying.
Lastly I would like to ask why you say ethics are a personal choice? Do you not believe there is a code of ethics that all could follow and the result would be happiness for all and liberation for the practitioner of this code?
