My understanding is that the more intelligent you are, the better you are at realizing your own flaws. However I wouldn't apply generally to people older than their teens.

If you make it throught your teens without destroying your life, let alone stay alive you will also realize.

However I'm sure there are exceptions.

edited by: Norman, Apr 26, 2005 - 09:13 PM

Read 'The Madness of Adam and Eve' (cant remember who its by) but its very interesting and will make you all feel very special. just like your mummy does.

It's very nice of you to assume. Very logical of you.

However I view emotions from a different perspective. I look at them from a distance so to say.

I'd appreciate it if you didn't sterotype people either.

I think to assume that intellect and self-awareness are linked in some ways could be a little black and white- I know people of incredibly mature, self-aware dispositions yet they are not particularly intelligent and I've met people of a vastly superior intellect of my own that are completely unaware of their own flaws in their social behaviour or character.

I don't think being aware of your own faults is particularly self-aware, either. To be truly self-aware, you have to be aware of your flaws, the manner in which they can be rectified and your strengths, and two out of three of those categories are positive.
