It makes sense that before man there was no logic. Therefore logic was created by man.Logic is linear one two three. Is there any logic to exponential thinking? Things that are relative come to mind. Is logic relative to induction deduction or empirical thought? pljames

Man invented the idea of ''logic'', the universe and the world is chaos. We created logic, and we found ways to apply our logic to everything we know. We assume that if t isnt logical it doesn't exist.

Before man there was no world, either...
(Do I win points for saying an odd, seemingly smart statement with no argument to back it?)
There's an interesting point Shopenhauer makes in World as Will and Representation that would be interesting to this idea, but I don't have a copy of it nor could I find it if I did. It's in Volume II towards the end and talks about consciousness popping into being and then going forwards and backwards in time or something. Does anyone who has read WWR remember this?

Without logic, man wouldn't be around to discover logic. The universe emerged from chaos because of pre-existing mathematics and logic. Man may have invented the symbols and language of logic, but the principles of logic were built into the universe from the beginning.

That's certainly one opinion on the matter, but an opinion with which I disagree. However, since you have not given an argument to support your view, I can't really say anything about your view, can I?
All I can really say is that your view assumes that a metaphysical reality explains the way in which you experience the world. The opposing (post-Kantian) view is worth looking into, as it is quite strong in most philosophy these days.
I suggest reading Hume's Essay, the preface to Kant's first critique, and Rorty's "Texts and Lumps."

Preexisting mathematics and logic?
but the principles of logic were built into the universe from the beginning. Could you expand on these to statements?pljames
