I understand logic inference argument and premise all are related. I am trying to not argue but debate without arguing. Infer should be with proofs as well as premises. But what if logic can be applied without inference premise or arguement? Where is it written one has to argue? How about questioning or debating? pljames
Debate is just the name we give to a type of argument so I don't understand how you could hold a debate
without arguing. Moreover the purpose of logic is to provide us with a set of rules by which we can draw valid inferences, so "applying" it but ignoring its rules is somewhat of a contradiction: you either follow the laws of inference or you don't.
