Would you say that Wittgenstein's Philosophical Investigations is the present-day equivelent of Kant's Critique of Pure Reason? It seems to me that, in the same way philosophers since Kant have applied his concept of a priori knowledge and pure reason, redefining the world as we see it, a similar trend has emerged with Philosophical Investigations and Wittgenstein's "language game".

I think Kripke's Naming & Necessity is actually the real successor of Kant's CPR.
Wittgenstein's PI is more like Hegel's Phenomenology, imho.

I meant in terms of historical impact, not similarity (though I could see how Hegel's Phenomenology would have had an similar historical impact). I guess my question is, how far do you think neo-Wittgensteinianism will expand? Possibilities for application seem endless.

I would not say that the Investigations is a 'present-day' work. It was published in 1953.

I'm pretty sure he meant the way the PI is treated IN the present day is equivalent to the way Kant's CPR was treated by the post-Kantian tradition (perhaps esp. German Idealism).
