I was here awhile ago, but one philosopher in particular took over the conversation in a diatribe against me with no supportive evidence, and in so doing prevented others from wanting to join in. I would like to try again if anyone is interested.

That seems to happen, often you will find that this feels like ancient athens, there are sophists all around that love the sound of their own words, and the pleasure they get of convincing themselves of their knowledge regarless if it is right or wrong. They also present with some strange form of jaded fanaticism that says there are no real truths or answers to the real philisophical questions. They learn so much that they can never find truth, and the argue and doubt so much that they confuse even themselves. But remember, a sophist is not a philosopher. We greatly need a socrates here. Any how, what is your question? I would like to try to help redefine this idea of determinism as well.

Hi Cado, thank you for your response. I am actually here to share a book you might be interested in. It deals with a discovery that lies locked behind the door of determinism, which has never been adequately explored.

why do you want a new definition of determinism. Do you not agree with that doctrin as stated in the dictionary? We accept established definitions so that we are on the same page in any of our discussions relating to that subject. If you do not believe in determinism, you can state the reason why you do not believe in it. If you can convince the majority of people that determinism is a fallacy, ony then can you expect the dictionary to change the definition of determinism. :

Well the definition of Determinism does have a problem of Who is conscious for the certain truth in the future (OR past). One may regard that principled SUbjectivity with self-awareness acts out the nature of the deterministic reality, OR one may conclude that the future is without self-awareness, and reflection has the reference to the Past; however, that kind of moral inaction to the determinism against the mere knowledge defines we believe Fatalism (the 'que sera sera' attitude), no?
