What would you do if you won the lottery? After building the big house and buying the chickens, Tevye the milkman in Fiddler on the Roof had something very interesting to say which always sticks with me. From the song "If I were a rich man":

If I Were Rich, I'd Have The Time That I Lack,
To Sit In A Synagogue And Pray;
And Maybe Have A Seat By The Eastern Wall.
And I'd Discuss The Holy Books With The Learned Men Seven Hours Ev`Ry Day;
And That Would Be The Sweetest Thing Of All.

My choice of church may be different than his - something more along the lines of the "Holy Order Of Critical Thinking" or some such, but his desire to sit and talk is such a noble thing to me it almost brings a tear to my eye.

Ephilosopher.com is becoming a chapel for this church, and I can't tell you how happy I am to have found it. Thank you Adimantis.

One small but important difference between this church and Tevyes' is also illustrated in the same song:

The Most Important Men In Town Will Come To Fawn On Me;
They Will Ask Me To Advise Them,
Like Soloman The Wise,
`If You Please, Reb Tevye, Pardon Me, Reb Tevye.`
Posing Problems That Would Cross A Rabbi`s Eyes.
<really cool emotional singing sounds>
And It Won`T Make One Bit Of Diff`Rence
If I Answer Right Or Wrong?
When You`Re Rich, They Think You Really Know.

In this church, you should be ready to back up your pronouncements with more than your bank balance....

May whatever God(s) you believe in bless all you guys! And if I am God, I just did.
